Beyoncé knows how to put on an amazing show, and that's exactly what she did when she performed at the Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg on Sunday. The event, which marked 100 years since Nelson Mandela's birth, had a star-studded lineup, including Kacey Musgraves, Ed Sheeran, and Pharrell Williams, but it's clear Queen Bey stole the spotlight. In addition to performing with her husband, JAY-Z, she also gave a special rendition of her hit "Formation." Seriously, can we talk about those incredible rainbow outfits?
In addition to commanding the stage during her performance, the singer also took a moment to reflect on Nelson Mandela's incredible legacy. While sharing a few behind-the-scenes photos on her website, Beyoncé wrote a letter to the late politician and human rights activist. "Your kindness and gratitude for every experience, and your ability to forgive are lessons I have learned and will pass on to my three children," she wrote referring to her daughter Blue Ivy and twins, Sir and Rumi. "You made it possible for so many people like me to reject impossibilities and understand our capabilities in making lasting change in the world." See more of Beyoncé's incredible appearance ahead.
